Today, we are thankful for music. Music has always played a role in our lives, starting with piano lessons at the age of 5. Then it was clarinet, flute & baritone in the school band and chorus. Musicals with drama class was always a favorite, not to mention numerous Broadway shows due to living a train ride away from NYC.
We were raised by our grandparents, but still maintained a close relationship with our mother and father, so this lead to a love of music that ranges from the 50’s straight through to the current music of the time we were growing up. Genre’s from Classical to 2 Live Crew ( we still remember watching that cassette tape melt in the woodstove after our grandmother caught us listening to it and threw it in there, twice, no more Me So Horny !)
We can also thank music for bringing us Troy, as the Live Music circles in SL is how we met in the first place. That lead to a wonderful 3 years managing performers with Music Speaks Management. Yes, we certainly have alot of thanks for music.

There is something about darkness that is both terrifying and captivating. Vampires, for example, are traditionally meant to be frightening and terrifying creatures, and yet, they are also romanticized in the very next breath. Like moths to flames, we are drawn to those things that our rational minds know we should flee from.

I have to admit, when we saw this Pyre from Short Leash for We Love Roleplay , running till October 28th, the ideas started flying through our heads about a post for it. We had so many thoughts going around and around about not just historical witch hunts, but the modern day ones as well. It saddens us that in this day and age, after all that history should have taught humanity about equality and freedom, it seems like we have taken more steps backwards than we have forward.
There is a 2006 movie called Idiocracy, which makes me wonder if the writers had gone back in time to make a movie that could be ripped right out of the present days news broadcast. I am not quite sure what makes us shake our head more, the fact that someone is afraid that a Disney movie is going to put a spell on them through their television, of that the news media who capitalized on her poor mental health.
While we are speaking of burning, this Sexy Cheryl suit from LsR at FameshedX is so hot it should come with its own fire extinguisher. It comes with the top, bottoms and arm chains. FameshedX runs until November 6th.
I can not speak about these Twinkles from Cerridwens Cauldron enough. they have quickly become a favorite of mine for so many things. In today’s photo they worked perfectly for adding some hot sparkly fire embers, but they can also be used to add some twinkly lights to your regular trees for a more festive look. It’s BOOBtober ! That is right, the month of October is not only home of Halloween, but it is Breast Cancer Awareness month too! We have written before about the correlation between items or objects and people or memories. Sunflowers for us, are a Troy association, by proxy. Troy has a special link to sunflowers, and by sharing that emotional connection with us, they have become special to us, because they are special to him.
That is how love is supposed to work isn’t it ? You share yourself with another person so deeply, and you take in that other person so completely, that you share the joy of the other, even if it is not directed at or from you personally. You smile at sunflowers, because sunflowers make your partner smile.

We all know the saying ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ , but we are more kitty dragon unicorn than dog, so we love learning new things. Since we now have a system that can handle shadows, we have decided it was time to slay the Black Dragon and all of it’s bells, whistles and graphic sliders.

Even with the graphic presets there have still been headaches and frustration tears involved. A large part of it, is that we are so used to doing things ‘the old way’, that we are fighting our own natural instincts to adapt to new surroundings. We will get there. Today’s clique is the first taken with Black Dragon, and a little bit of post editing in Photoshop.

After an extended 9 month Second Life vacation, we are back ! We made the choice to come back as a new account, a fresh clean inventory and a rejoining of our parts, stronger than we have ever been before.
When we were discussing what we wanted from our return, we all agreed that we wanted to blog again. It is something that we have all enjoyed individually, and so stepping back into that role was an easy decision.
Walking into a whole new account meant a plethora of choices for bodies, and heads and all the THINGS ! We have made the choice that we do not wish to play musical bodies / heads, and the eBodyReborn body, met all the preferences that we all had. LeLutka was a very easy brand decision, but it took a bit of demo time to finally decide on the Ora head.
We made a conscious decision that blogging this time around, was not going to become a “click and post” thing. We have enough experience with that, as well as over extending ourselves and our posts became more about meeting deadlines, and less about our own creativity and personality. So we hope that you look forward to the ramblings that will go along with our cliquing !
